How do I open a Superhero trading account?
Opening a Superhero account is a quick and easy process. A Superhero Trading account allows you to buy and sell AU and US-listed securities.

Once your account is open, you can transfer your existing shares held with another broker to your Superhero Trading account by completing a share transfer request.
What will I need to identify myself during onboarding?
In order to open a Superhero account, you will be asked to enter details of an Australian Government Issued ID. Please have your ID handy before you commence your application.

If we are unable to automatically verify your identity, we may require additional documentation to finalise your account creation.

You will need to provide us with copies of 2 ID documents. One of these needs to be a “Primary” ID document.
Primary ID
- Australian Drivers Licence (front and back)
- Passport
- Australian Medicare
Secondary ID
- Valid Foreign driver’s license which must have your date of birth. (Please send a photo of both sides).
- Australian Citizenship Certificate or Birth Certificate.
- ImmiCard.
- A Photo ID showing your name and current address.
- An Australian Federal Police check showing your name and current address (dated within 12 months).
- An ATO statement with your name and current address (please mask your TFN, dated within 12 months).
- An Australian government issued fine notice or correspondence with your full name and current address (dated within 12 months).
- A water or council rate bill with your full name and current address (dated within 3 months).
If you are providing a Proof of Age Card, Photo ID Card or Foreign Driver’s Licence, please also supply a selfie holding the ID, in addition to the ID itself.
You will receive a notification via email once your IDs have been verified. You can then log into your Superhero account to complete the onboarding process.
What are the next steps after I open my account?
Once your account has been set up, you can log in via the web or mobile app by using your email address and password.
Can I open a joint account with Superhero?
Superhero does not offer the ability to open joint trading accounts.
